Well, team, Republicans held their big midterm convention in Dallas, and Trump made clear exactly who this election is about.

"When I'm on the ticket, Republicans always do very well," he told the crowd. Then Trump asked them to "pretend that I'm on the ballot" this November.

We'll take him up on that. Every Republican Senate candidate is running on Trump's agenda, and we can't let them pretend otherwise.

The rest of the convention didn't go the way they planned. Speaker Mike Johnson told the crowd "every seat all the way to the rafters is full." Reporters in the room counted about 5,000 empty seats in the upper deck alone while organizers were texting out FREE TICKETS.

During his 90-minute speech, Trump begged the crowd: "please, if you don't mind, don't anybody go to the bathroom." Plenty of people left anyway.

But a half-empty arena doesn't change the record Senate Republicans are running on. Trump said it himself from the stage: "Our country is going through hell." He's right, and his party got us here. Senate Republicans stood with him on healthcare cuts, on tariffs, and on the war with Iran.

They can throw as many conventions as they want, but they can't run from that record. Trump wants voters thinking about him when they cast their ballots. Between now and Election Day, we're going to make sure they do.
