This week, Gillian had an incredible conversation with a supporter while knocking on doors in Mosinee, Wisconsin, who had Republican yard signs in their yard, except for our opponent, despite it being his hometown.

When asked why they weren’t supporting Cory, the conversation once again circled back to access to comprehensive and affordable healthcare.

In a candidate questionnaire a few years ago, Cory stated that he believed that taxpayer-funded healthcare should be abolished in all forms, and that Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded. For many Wisconsinites – who are postponing lifesaving care because their deductible is too high, they don’t have the time to drive hours to the nearest clinic, or they struggle to navigate a complicated and costly healthcare system – that’s a hard pill to swallow.

This is just another example of how completely out of touch he is with Wisconsinites, and why we need new leadership. We need a fighter in Madison who will advocate for the people and lower costs for everyone, not another politician who is bought and paid for by billionaires and corporations and puts his extremist ideologies over the well-being of our communities.

Regardless of political affiliation, people are sick and tired of our leaders working to keep costs high while we suffer.
