Meher , a 17-year-old in Nepal, was hanging up her family's laundry when the flood came.

10 minutes later, her home, the shop her family ran, their motorbikes, and their life savings were under thick grey mud.

"When you've lost your house and your savings in one afternoon, and you can barely feed yourself, personal supplies are the last thing anyone thinks about. The response has tents and rice, and that matters. But nobody remembers that a girl still needs pads to get through the month, " she shared with us."

Periods don't stop when crisis strikes. Women and girls displaced by the floods are managing their periods in crowded camps, often without clean water, privacy, or period products."

One week after devastating floods in Nepal, 1,300 people are confirmed dead , and nearly 5,000 people remain missing . Roads, hospitals, and stores are damaged, making access to care almost impossible.
