“...closer-than-expected margin in New Mexico’s race for governor”

Thank you. Friend, because of you, we just pulled ahead in the polls. All the support folks like you have given this campaign has helped us travel across this beautiful state, talk with New Mexicans, and make our case for a better future. Thank you.

But our lead is still far too close for comfort, and with 52 days left, we have no time to let up. My Republican opponent is already pointing to this poll to tell voters this is a competitive race that he can win. Friend, he’s right about one thing: This race is not decided yet.

We’re at a critical moment in this race, and we need everyone with us. Will you chip in $5, $3, $1 — whatever you can — before midnight? Every dollar helps us reach voters across New Mexico, compete with Republican spending, and defend our lead.

I know what it means to be underestimated. I’ve faced long odds before, and I know what grassroots support can accomplish when people come together. And that’s exactly what happened.

But now we have to protect this lead.

I’m fighting to lower costs, put money back in New Mexicans’ pockets, strengthen our schools, protect our public lands, build safer communities, and stop anyone who would bring an extremist agenda to our state.

My opponent wants to bring Trump’s extreme agenda to New Mexico. He is ready to cut Medicaid, SNAP, and universal childcare — programs New Mexicans depend on to get ahead.

Republicans are coming for this seat. They’ve named our race a top pickup opportunity, and they’re willing to spend millions to flip it. And now, even the Albuquerque Journal is calling our margin “closer-than-expected.”

That’s why, with just weeks until Election Day, we have to keep fighting. Please chip in $5 or whatever you can spare to help me win this November so I can keep fighting for New Mexicans and deliver for working families.
