The unelected Senate that’s stuffed full of party hacks and retired broadcasters has cost hardworking Canadians like you more than $1.5 billion since 2013.

Reform Party founder Preston Manning fought to fix the Senate, but it didn’t work. Manning now says that it’s time for people to send a strong message to Ottawa to scrap the Senate.

Former prime minister Stephen Harper tried to fix the Senate and got nowhere. Former prime minister Justin Trudeau made it worse. Now no political party is even pushing a plan to fix it.

And that’s why more than 96 per cent of taxfighters like you say it's time to scrap the Senate.

Scrapping the Senate will be a long hard fight. But, fun fact, provincial legislatures did it decades ago. And New Zealand got rid of its version of the Senate in the 1950’s. Getting rid of the Senate can happen – it just needs a push from you.
