Warren for Senate: [link removed]

Trump's war
in Iran has dragged on for more than six months.

Thousands of people have been killed. Families have spent months fearing
for their loved ones. And the consequences of this unnecessary war will be
felt for years, even generations.

And while all of that is happening, Donald Trump’s oil stocks are going
up.

That’s not just disturbing.
It’s a blatant conflict of interest.

And it's exactly why people elected to power should not be allowed to
trade individual stocks. Their decisions can affect the value of the
companies they own, and the American people should not have to wonder
whether a politician is making a decision for the country or for their own
bottom line.

[ [link removed] ]I’ll break down how Trump is profiting off his own war below. And if
you agree we need to ban this type of corruption, add your name to support
my plan to ban presidents, vice presidents, and members of Congress from
trading individual stocks.

According to a new analysis, Trump’s nine largest oil and gas holdings
gained an estimated $1.5 million to $4.4 million between the start of the
war and the end of August. His accounts also reported at least 23 sales
involving those companies during the first months of the war.

Meanwhile, Americans have been paying more and more at the pump.

Trump’s defenders say outside managers make the trades. But even if
someone else is pushing the buttons, Trump still owns those stocks — and
benefits when they go up.

Let me be clear: This isn’t just about Trump.

Members of Congress and their spouses have traded hundreds of millions of
dollars in stocks and other investments, all while having access to
information about legislation, government contracts, regulations, and
other decisions that can move markets.

That’s why I’m fighting to close the door on these conflicts once and for
all.

I’ve introduced bipartisan legislation to ban the president, vice
president, and members of Congress from owning and trading individual
stocks while they’re in office.

[ [link removed] ]Add your name if you agree that no elected official should be able to
use their position to profit from the stock market.

Working people deserve to know that when politicians make decisions that
affect the economy, they’re doing it for the public and not their
portfolios.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
