John,

Why does the movement named after “letting women choose” get so uncomfortable when we tell women about this choice?

There was an ad that a lot of pro-abortion groups took issue with recently. It features a woman who is newly pregnant and entirely overwhelmed by what she believes to be her only two options: to parent or to abort her baby.

Then, a glimmer of hope. She hears about private adoption, and the noise finally cuts out. She can continue down that path when the other two seemed impossible.

The abortion lobby didn’t like the fact that this ad reminded women of this option. Why? I think the reason is fairly clear.

There are around 5 million pregnancies in the U.S. every year and over 1 million abortions. The number of private infant adoptions? 25,000.

The abortion industry knows that if more women are informed about private adoption, fewer will turn to abortion as their solution. In other words, babies being adopted competes with their lucrative business of baby-killing.

I show the adoption ad the internet had a big problem with and break it all down in this new video we just released on YouTube.

While I believe the anti-adoption messaging from large abortion groups is for obviously sinister reasons, the average person who believes abortion to be a better option than adoption may just be misinformed.

I’ve always been a big supporter of adoption. I have experienced it personally within my family, and I have friends who are currently seeking to adopt. But not everyone is as familiar with what adoption really looks like.

For example, many people believe the foster care system and the adoption system are the same thing. In reality, foster care and adoption exist for two different reasons.

I’ve also seen a lot of online messaging claiming the adoption system is “legalized child trafficking.” How horribly twisted.

Private adoption is highly regulated. Under ‘Best Interest of the Child’ laws, children are heavily protected, and as the name suggests, their interests come before anyone else’s.

Prospective adoptive parents have to go through a significant process, that usually takes over a year to complete, to prove they are a safe and loving place for an adopted child.

By making our culture more aware of private adoption and correcting the misconceptions that exist about this system, fewer women will elect to have their precious babies aborted.

When a woman faces an unexpected pregnancy, she deserves to know about the real, life-affirming options she has available to her.

She should know about pregnancy resource centers — how they outnumber abortion facilities 4 to 1 and that most of these centers are just down the street from the local abortion facility.

If she doesn’t want to parent, she should know that she can hand-select a family for her baby. She can often have financial support throughout her pregnancy, and she can decide whether or not she wants to be involved in her baby’s life as he or she grows up.

Adoption. Is exists to break the stigma that has been so heavily laid on adoption and to give women the information they deserve about what private adoption really looks like.

It is a wonderful resource to educate people about private adoption. I’d highly recommend you visit the site to learn more and share it with people in your community!

Additionally, there is a website dedicated to giving a platform to people who were adopted. Their stories testify to the fact that adoption is, by no means, the end of the road for a child. Instead, it’s the beginning of a beautiful life full of purpose and joy.

Here’s the website if you want to visit it: www.iamthatkid.com. Have a box of tissues nearby!

I’m so grateful for this opportunity to share more about adoption with you. The more we all know about adoption, the more effectively we can advocate for it in our own communities.

Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless!

For Life,

Sami Parker
