John, Trump’s unprecedented “midterm convention” just wrapped up and it was one of the most sad, pathetic, and dark political events in recent history. Here are just some of the highlights of the event: There were tens of thousands of empty seats in the arena. Trump tried to bribe voters by promising $5,000 checks for every American if MAGA wins this November. During a speech by Ted Cruz, an audience member shouted “he should be shot” three times at the mention of Zohran Mamdani, James Talarico, and Abdul El-Sayed. Ted Cruz refused to condemn it. JD Vance said in his speech: “Because Democrats have become such a nightmare, we can never, will never let them win.” Trump ordered the audience to raise their right hand, had them proclaim he was the “greatest president ever” and pledge to “cheat like hell” in the upcoming midterm elections. The convention was darkly reminiscent of the Nazi Party’s infamous Nuremberg Rallies. It also reeked of desperation—the last, violent gasps of a dying fascist movement. MAGA has made it clear they won't go quietly. They'll lie, cheat, threaten, anything and everything to win this November. The November election will be one of the most consequential turning points in American history. We either let Trump cheat to cement his fascist takeover of America, or we smoother MAGA and turn the page on one of the darkest chapters in American history. We choose the latter, and that’s why Defend Our Courts is leading the charge to put MAGA down for good.
