The United States Postal Service (USPS) is a pillar of our democracy, enshrined in our constitution. Every day, millions of Americans rely on the USPS to receive critical goods and services like prescription drugs, social security checks, and vote-by-mail ballots.

And when COVID-19 came to America, our brave postal workers didn't stop delivering these critical goods and services to us. They continued this essential work -- often at significant risk to their own lives -- just as they have during snow and rain for hundreds of years.

Protecting the post office has never before been a partisan issue, but right now, the USPS is facing vicious attacks from President Trump and his allies. And it's all in an attempt to suppress our right to vote by mail during this global pandemic.

Now more than ever, we need leaders who will fight to protect the post office and our right to vote. The USPS has a rich history. Did you know that Benjamin Franklin was our country's first postmaster general? But Trump's current appointee for the job is disgracing this office. He's cut hours for postal workers, slowed down mail delivery, and removed mail-processing machines across the country.

All of these efforts intentionally sabotage our vote-by-mail process. Trump and the postmaster general know that if everyone voted by mail, Trump would lose re-election. So they're suppressing our votes by tampering with the postal service.
