Dear friend,

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced an unimaginable tragedy.

Nearly 3,000 lives were taken on September 11, 2001. Today, we remember each of them, the families who still carry their loss, and the survivors whose lives were forever changed.

We also honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, servicemembers, and ordinary Americans who answered tragedy with extraordinary courage — including those who later became sick or lost their lives because of their service in the aftermath.

September 11th is a day that will forever carry immense grief for our country. As we mark this solemn anniversary, I hope we can come together to remember those we lost and honor the courage and sacrifice shown in our nation’s darkest hours.

May their memories never fade.
