The rapid, unregulated expansion of AI and data centers nationwide is draining our water supplies, raising our electric bills, threatening millions of jobs, and contributing to the climate crisis.

With your support, we’ve been fighting to elevate this issue at every level of government. And now, some elected officials are speaking out against this existential threat.

Earlier this month, New Jersey Representative and ranking member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, Frank Pallone, said,

“We need real, substantial federal guardrails in place to restrict their impact on our air, our water, our power grid, and on our monthly utility bills. If Congress fails to adopt strong federal guidelines, then a federal moratorium on data centers should be put in place.”

To pass a national data center moratorium, we need our elected officials to take a bold stance against Big Tech! Join us in thanking Representative Pallone for standing with humans over data centers, and encourage him to continue the push to stop new data centers. ([link removed])

By commending Representative Pallone for his stance on a data center moratorium, we are showing him and other elected officials that opposition to data centers is a winning issue.

And it’s even more important to have his support because if the Democrats win the House in November, Representative Pallone will be the Chairman of the committee with data center oversight.

Representative Pallone has received a lot of pushback from data center cheerleaders in New Jersey and DC, so it’s critical that he hear support not only from his constituents but also from concerned citizens nationwide.
