Friends,

First, I want to take a moment to reflect on the 25th anniversary of September 11th. Like so many Americans, I remember exactly where I was when the planes hit the towers. Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, and I will always do my part to make sure that we Never Forget. Today, I’ll be in North Andover to honor the victims of 9/11, as well as the service members who subsequently served during the Global War on Terror.

WATCH THE WEEKLY RECAP

It was also another busy week around the North Shore and Merrimack Valley as the general election gets fully underway. The week started with meetings with key leaders from around the district, and on Wednesday morning I attended the North Shore Chamber of Commerce State of the Region Breakfast at Essex Tech in Danvers. It was great to hear directly from mayors and business leaders about the needs of communities across the North Shore. Many thanks to David and Wellpoint for including me at their table.

I also spent time door knocking in Hamilton and had some great conversations with residents. Many thanks to campaign volunteer Mark for joining me and helping spread the campaign’s message. Later in the week, I had the opportunity to speak at both the Cape Ann Sportsman’s Club and Danvers Fish and Game. I really enjoyed connecting with members both before and after the meetings.

Finally, I want to wish everyone observing Rosh Hashanah a Shana Tova. My family and I will be attending services at our congregation, Temple B’Nai Abraham in Beverly. On Sunday evening, I’ll also be attending the North Shore Latino Business Association’s annual gala. I have really enjoyed getting to know the folks at NSLBA over the course of this year and look forward to joining them for the evening.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Micah
