Join Us in Celebrating Northern Virginian Families on May 1st!

Dear John

Today, as we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, we remember the lives lost, the survivors and families forever changed, and the many people across our region who responded in the days and years that followed.

NVFS was part of that long-term response through our work with the Survivors’ Fund Project. For nearly seven years, our team was honored to work alongside individuals and families as they rebuilt their lives, recognizing that the effects of trauma can be long-lasting and that the path to recovery looks different for each person.

That experience remains an important part of who we are at NVFS, and the lessons we learned continue to shape how we support individuals and families today.

I invite you to read our reflection, “25 Years Later: What Community Healing Looks Like,” which looks back on this chapter of our history and the lessons we continue to carry forward.

Thank you for your continued support of NVFS and for your commitment to our community.

With gratitude,
