Please do not mark spam.     You might not have read Pete Ricketts’ most recent fundraising report. But we did. Here’s what stood out: Only 7.8% of his $6 million quarterly haul came from individual donors. The overwhelming majority — $5.25 million — came from Ricketts himself. He’s literally trying to buy this race. Unlimited money from billionaires and corporations is distorting our elections. Citizens United needs to go. And a senator who writes his own checks doesn’t have to answer to anybody in Nebraska. Ricketts insists he “can’t be bought.” But it’s a lie. Here’s the contrast in this race, plain and simple: Pete Ricketts: heir to a family fortune, $5.2 million in self-funding in a single quarter, less than 8% of his money from actual donors. Dan Osborn: industrial mechanic and Navy veteran, no corporate PAC money, average contribution around $48. We are never going to outspend him. We’ve known that since day one. What we can do is out-organize him — and that only works if enough people put a little bit behind it. So can we count on you to rush a donation to Dan’s campaign right now?
