I’ve already told you how critical this year’s midterm elections are, and that Democrats absolutely must take back the Senate majority.
If you’re still on the fence, I want to take a step back to tell you more about why these elections are so important.
My colleagues at Moderate Democrats PAC and I are already strategizing for next year (and the year after that). Our fight won’t end on Election Day. In fact, it will just be getting started.
The reality is: No matter what happens on November 3rd, Donald Trump will still be president next year.
There is a silver lining, though. The Senate is one of the few institutions that can stand in the way of Trump’s reckless, corrupt, anti-democratic agenda.
But we need a Democratic majority to do that. If we let the GOP keep their monopoly in Congress, we can do little else except stand by and watch our fundamental rights disappear, one by one.
Regaining the Senate majority is THE #1 way we can fight back against Trump.
And to top it off, we need to elect the right people — Democrats with the work ethic to protect our democracy from the Trump administration AND make improvements for working Americans at the same time.
