I've been warning you about New Hampshire for months. I told you this race was being ignored. I told you the map didn't work without it. I told you Sununu was a uniquely dangerous opponent.
Now I need you to look at what just dropped.
The University of New Hampshire just released a poll. And for the first time this entire campaign, John Sununu is ahead. 45 to 43.
Let me tell you how this race has moved. In June Chris was up three points. Now he's down two. That's a five-point swing in the wrong direction.
John Sununu has $30 million in outside spending hitting the airwaves, and it's working. In a race this close, every dollar of Republican dark money that goes unanswered moves the needle. And right now too much of it is going unanswered.
Chris Pappas has won the toughest district in New Hampshire four times. He knows how to bring people together and win. But he cannot – cannot – fight back against $30 million in Republican spending without grassroots support showing up right now.
So here’s what I need from you:
I've seen races turn around before. I've also seen races slip away when people didn't treat a warning sign like a warning sign.
This is the warning sign. This is the moment.
Please give what you can right now. Let’s win this damn thing and flip control of the Senate.
