GOD'S CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE

Millions of people watched Sound of Freedom. 

They heard a simple truth: 

God’s children are not for sale. 

But child trafficking did not stop when the movie ended. 

That's why the Sound of Freedom Foundation exists. 

And there's been powerful news showing why this fight must continue. 

Federal authorities say more than 900 suspected human traffickers were arrested during operations surrounding this summer’s global soccer tournament. 

And 180 victims were rescued — including 30 children.

Think about that for a moment. 

Thirty children. Thirty precious lives. 

Children who should be playing. Learning. Dreaming. 

Growing up surrounded by people who love them. 

Jesus said: 

“Let the little children come to me... for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) 

Every child is precious in the eyes of God. 

And every child deserves someone willing to stand up for them. 

That's why, as this massive global soccer tournament approached, the Sound of Freedom Foundation helped fund trusted partners focused on fighting sex trafficking and supporting rescue efforts connected to the event. 

Because we knew the danger was real. 

And we knew we could not simply look away. 

The recent federal operations are another reminder of the scale of this evil. 

Authorities reported rescuing two girls believed to be trafficking victims in San Francisco. 

In Dallas, investigators uncovered an alleged operation where authorities say adults and children had been sold for sex. 

This is not a movie. 

This is happening in the real world. 

And it is why I believe Sound of Freedom was only the beginning. 

My name is Eduardo Verástegui. 

When I first learned what traffickers do to innocent children, this stopped being another film project for me. 

It became a calling. 

I asked myself: 

What if it were my child? 

That question changed my life. 

Today, the Sound of Freedom Foundation has launched our MISSION IN ACTION campaign forward, through prevention, intervention, education, awareness, and advocacy. 

We help strengthen families before traffickers can prey on their children. 

We help equip trusted partners fighting exploitation and we help parents recognize the warning signs. 

And we work to awaken more people to a crime that depends upon darkness and silence. 

But we cannot do this alone.
