Ceres at Climate Week
Dear John,

Strong companies and strong portfolios require the same thing: access to all relevant information and the freedom to act on it. When investors are able to weigh financial risks and opportunities, and communicate directly with the companies they own, the result is companies that can weather risks and compete over the long-term, leading to a more resilient economy.

Ceres’ expert Andrew Collier has led advocacy efforts through our Freedom to Invest initiative to help protect the ability of companies and investors to make responsible decisions without unnecessary government interference and for investors to engage with companies through the long-standing shareholder proposal process.

Later this month, Andrew will moderate a mainstage event at Climate Week NYC with state legislators and industry experts to highlight the growing number of bipartisan leaders working to defend these fundamental freedoms and protect the free market. Panelists will also discuss bipartisan energy policies that will strengthen the U.S economy and long-term competitiveness.
