Thanks to Trump, we're paying $4 billion to get LESS clean energy.
Yes, you read that right.
At a time when New Jerseyans are struggling with high electric bills, the Trump Administration is spending nearly $4 billion of your tax dollars to pay companies to walk away from clean energy projects that would have created good-paying jobs, produced more energy, and helped reduce pollution.
This week, I joined Ironworkers Local 399, Carpenters, LIUNA, IBEW, the New Jersey AFL-CIO, and environmental leaders to call out what these decisions mean for New Jersey.
We need more energy on the grid to meet growing demand and bring down costs, not billions of taxpayer dollars spent to stop new energy projects from moving forward.
It makes absolutely no sense.
