Dear A.,

Twenty-five years ago, our country was changed forever when al-Qaeda terrorists carried out the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil. Nearly 3,000 people were murdered in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with the courageous passengers and crew of Flight 93 which crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

In the aftermath of that terrible day, America and its allies stood together against terrorism. And no ally has worked closer with the United States in that fight than Israel.

Today, we honor the memory of those murdered on 9/11 and the first responders who put themselves in harm's way to save others.

Israel's 9/11 Living Memorial Plaza in Jerusalem is the only memorial outside the United States listing all the names of the victims, including five Israeli citizens, and is the only 9/11 memorial in the Middle East.

"25 years ago on 9/11, terror struck at the heart of America. We remember all those murdered on that horrific day. We continue to stand with the United States—our great friend and ally—in the fight on global terror. May the memory of the victims of 9/11 forever be a blessing."

"25 years. 25 years since the entire world changed forever. 25 years since our greatest friend and ally was attacked by evil. All of us in Israel stand today with our American friends - in remembering those we lost and in honoring the courage of those who risked their lives to save others. We stand together in our shared commitment to combat terrorism and to shape a free, safer and more just world. May the memories of those lost on September 11th be for a blessing."

Through AIPAC, you help ensure America and Israel always stand together in their shared battle against terrorists committed to undermining our shared values and destroying the United States and the Jewish state.

Shana Tova and Shabbat Shalom,

Jake Freedman, AIPAC
