Team, exactly one year ago, we made history when we won the Democratic primary to represent the MA-7 in Congress.
That night, I told those gathered at the IBEW Hall in Dorchester that the “future belongs to all of us.” Today, our squad is big — so many of you have raised your hands, lifted your voices, and committed to creating a more equitable and just world.
The current occupant of the White House has relentlessly attacked us at every turn because he is scared of the power we’ve built, but we’re stronger than Donald Trump.
Stand with me today — exactly one year since our win — and help us grow our movement even more.
When I was elected, it was with a mandate for hope — to resist the cruel policies of this Administration, but also to listen, collaborate, and work to make real progress on issues of consequence to the people of the MA-7.
Together, we’ve fought for a future where all people can live with basic dignity, and where all people are guaranteed healthcare, a quality education, and clean air and water.
Together, we’ve fought to dismantle systems of oppression and guarantee equal pay for equal work, a living wage, paid family leave, and reproductive justice for all.
Together, we’ve fought to end institutionalized racism in our criminal justice system, end the war on drugs, and stop the criminalization of poverty and addiction.
Together, we’ve fought to ensure equal access to safe, healthy housing, and end the discriminatory policies that further harm low-income communities and communities of color.
Together, we’ve fought to fix our fundamentally broken immigration system by defunding ICE, calling out the cruel conditions at the border, and creating a system that is humane and compassionate.
And, together, we’ll keep advocating, organizing, and legislating to combat hatred and make real progress. But it’s going to take each of us giving it our all to make it a reality.
Team, donate now to make this future a reality for all Americans.
Thank you for being a part of this movement. With your support, we will continue to make progress on the issues that matter to us all.
In Solidarity,
Ayanna
