John, in case you
missed it: Donald Trump wants to change the name of New Mexico to New
America.

[ [link removed] ]A screenshot of a post from Donald J. Trump reposted by The White
House, featuring a map of the state of New Mexico where the word 'Mexico'
in the state name is crossed out in red and replaced with the word
'America,' reading 'New America.'

Instead of focusing on the issues that matter to hardworking families,
he’s pushing another distraction while families face higher costs and
rising gas prices.

Here’s my message: New Mexico will always be New Mexico.

If my Republican opponent wants to welcome Donald Trump’s reckless agenda
into our state, then he can be the governor of New America. Meanwhile, I’m
fighting for New Mexicans and standing up for what makes New Mexico, New
Mexico. [ [link removed] ]That’s why I need your help right now. Will you chip in and
split a donation today between my campaign and Katie Hobbs to help me win
this November and make sure New Mexico always has a fighter in its corner?

Being New Mexican is something special.

Our roots run deep. They’re in the acequias, cornfields, lowriders, and
chile harvests. In the food we cook and the traditions we pass down, and
in the communities that have cared for one another for generations.

My roots here run 35 generations deep. I am the proud descendant of fierce
Pueblo women, a grandfather who worked as a diesel mechanic and tended his
cornfield, a grandmother who taught me to love New Mexican cooking, and
parents who taught me the meaning of service and sacrifice.

These aren’t just my stories. They’re part of what makes New Mexico, New
Mexico.

So when Donald Trump talks about taking away the name and identity that
generations of New Mexicans have built, I can’t just stand by. And when my
opponent wants to bring Donald Trump’s agenda to New Mexico and cut
Medicaid, SNAP, and Universal Childcare, I have to fight back.

I have a vision for New Mexico that starts with our people: higher wages,
lower costs, stronger schools, and healthcare that’s there when you need
it. I want to invest in mental and behavioral healthcare, substance use
treatment, rehabilitation, and housing stability so we can build safer,
stronger communities.

But I can’t do it alone. [ [link removed] ]That’s why I need your help right now. Please,
can I count on you to chip in $5 or whatever you can spare
— split between Katie Hobbs and my campaign to help us win this race and
keep fighting for New Mexico?
