Athletes tend to be a superstitious bunch.

My “thing” is a lucky number. It’s four.

In college, I was a four-time team MVP and four-time All-American athlete.
My Paralympics basketball jersey number was four.
My first Paralympics was the 2004 Athens Games.
I’m a four-time Paralympian: 2004, 2012, 2016, 2021.
I’m up 4 points(!) in a recent Senate poll from Fox News.

And get this: my first State House campaign began on the 4th of July, 2022.

It’s been a hell of a four years, too. In that time, I won two elections deep in the heart of Trump country and a hard-fought U.S. Senate primary.

If we win Iowa’s open Senate seat this November, that’ll be — you guessed it — victory #4.

Coincidence? Hmmm…

Unfortunately, luck doesn’t erase the fact that we’re grassroots underdogs facing a bloated political machine funded by billionaires.

There are, however, ways you can help level the playing field.

By making a lucky $4 donation to my campaign and John Hickenlooper's today, you’ll help flip this seat in November and deliver some much-needed “four-titude” and fighting spirit to Washington.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
