Welcome to this edition of the Fraud Report - where we explain the full end-to-end process of investigations we are involved with at Cal DOGE.

When I became the Director of Cal DOGE, I agreed to lead the local task force on fraud because I wanted results - criminals in jail, funds cut off, and no more fraud - forever. We built this report because you asked for arrests and accountability - but while they are happening, because of media noise, sometimes the good news gets lost.

Today's fraud report exposes what happened inside Project Homekey - a $3.78 billion program that was supposed to house the homeless. Instead, insider developers walked away with vacation homes in Hawaii, projects blew through budgets and deadlines, and $745 million worth of housing sits completely empty right now.

The good news? Program funding has been cut off, three project fraudsters are behind bars, and this program is the subject of a Congressional hearing that called Karen Bass to testify. But she said she’s “too busy” to go before Congress - and clearly more accountability, locally in California and in DC - needs to happen.

That’s exactly what I’ll do for you in Congress - follow the money and raise hell on the ground until corruption is pulled out at its root.

My opponent sits on the Oversight Committee, but has been shockingly silent on this issue. Instead of letting crime pay - like California is prone to do - we will make criminals pay. Everything is already too expensive - the last thing Congress should do is allow fraudsters to steal our money.
