Right now, that means standing up to utility executives. While families cut back to keep the lights on, executives are cashing in–pocketing more than $626 million in compensation last year alone, even as rates climbed faster than inflation.

Executives who squeeze working families to run their business shouldn’t get rewarded for it. That’s why I introduced the No Bonuses for Utility Executives Act: no bonuses in any year a utility raises rates faster than inflation.
