New Art at Village Hall

Art at VH: Ronda 2026 [ [link removed] ]

Discover the work of local photographer Ronda at the latest Art at Village Hall exhibition.

A lifelong Oswego resident, Ronda has spent her entire life in the same home, making her connection to the community especially meaningful. Her photography has earned several ribbons at local art shows and the Sandwich Fair, and she enjoys finding creative inspiration in the people and places around her.

Beyond photography, Ronda is a longtime member of Oswego’s Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club and enjoys gardening, crafting, playing on local billiards league teams, and spending time with family and friends.

Stop by Village Hall to experience Ronda’s work in person and celebrate the creativity of a talented local artist. Her collection will be on display now through November, so be sure to stop by before the exhibition comes down!

Village Hall is located at 100 Parkers Mill in Oswego and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Little Libraries

Little Libraries [ [link removed] ]

A new Little Library has recently been installed in the Village of Oswego, bringing another opportunity for neighbors to share books, discover new stories and connect with one another right in their own neighborhood.

The Village of Oswego’s Cultural Arts Commission launched the Little Libraries Program to spark creativity, support literacy and strengthen connections between neighbors. Selected residents receive a Village-provided Little Library, installed at no cost on their property.

Help us keep the program growing by taking a look around your neighborhood and seeing if you can spot a Little Library near you.

Your Travel. Your Community. Your Impact.

CMAP

The next phase of the My Daily Travel household survey, conducted by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), is now underway in Oswego and communities across northeastern Illinois.

Selected households will receive an invitation by mail asking them to share information about how, when, where and why members of their household travel. One of the graphics included here shows what the official survey invitation will look like when they arrive in the mail.

If your household receives an invitation, you can participate by visiting here [ [link removed] ] or scanning the QR code included on your invitation and following the instructions provided. Only households that receive an invitation are eligible to participate.

The information collected will help transportation planners better understand how people travel throughout northeastern Illinois and guide future transportation investments and improvements.

Because only a limited number of households are selected, every completed survey helps ensure that the experiences of local households like yours are represented in future transportation decisions.
