The Trump Administration is expelling asylum-seeking children from the country without due process.

Friend,

Instead of welcoming asylum-seeking children and taking care of them, as required by law, the Trump Administration is detaining children as young as one year old in hotels and other locations before expelling them without due process.

When the Texas Civil Rights Project recently uncovered this cruel operation, the Trump Administration’s subcontractors refused to allow access to the detained kids — even shoving one of their lawyers in an elevator. These practices are cruel, chaotic, dangerous, and illegal.

Will you join the thousands of people across the country demanding action for asylum-seeking children and families?

Take urgent action: email Congress right now to demand the Trump Administration stop detaining and expelling asylum-seeking children. ([link removed])

These children are coming to the United States to seek safety, but the Administration is robbing them of their rights and expelling them to countries where they may be kidnapped, orphaned, or killed. This is to say nothing about holding them in hotels and potentially exposing them to COVID-19.

The Trump Administration is using this unprecedented pandemic as an excuse to expedite the removal of these children and shut down the asylum system. Every single one of these children deserves to be safe and able to seek asylum, but the Administration is instead putting their lives at risk for shameless political theater.

Instead of traumatizing little kids and exposing them to a deadly virus, the Trump Administration should follow the law and protect vulnerable immigrants coming to the United States for protection. Will you demand action today?

Email Congress now to call for the Administration to stop these cruel practices and to protect asylum seekers at the border.

We must act now to ensure that the Trump Administration’s hateful anti-immigrant agenda ends and families seeking asylum can stay together safely.

Thank you for demanding urgent action for immigrant children and families today,

Alida Garcia
