Friend, a couple weeks ago, my opponent, Alexis Calatayud, was supposed to debate me on Local 10. Then she backed out, even after setting the date herself.

But she still had time to go to the Four Seasons to teach developers how to profit off of her signature bill, the Live Local Act.

Under Live Local, developers are getting millions in tax credits while your rent skyrockets. And our Senator is in conference halls with them instead of facing the voters.

Now, she's claiming to be against overdevelopment, and when community members question her, she pushes the blame onto someone else.

As Senator, I'll fight for real solutions on affordable housing that don't just make the rich richer. I won't run from my record, and I won't be afraid to face my constituents.

But here's the thing, friend. Many of those same developers she meets with are her donors. I'm not at any developer conferences (and trust me, I don't want to be), and that means I rely on grassroots supporters like you.
