This is one of the myths that climate deniers like to tout to evade responsibility for taking action. You don't need to be a scientist to see the effects of climate change—severe hurricanes, disease spread, destructive wildfires, Arctic heatwaves—and those are just a few of the things we’ve seen in the past few months alone.
In fact, 97% of scientists are in agreement that climate change is caused by humans. It's pretty hard to argue with science, but with the climate crisis, as with COVID-19, we are seeing that denial from our elected leaders. The people that are supposed to represent the best interests of their constituents are committed not to facts, but to falsehoods.
