Our Republican majority in the People’s House made clear from day one of the 119th Congress that we would deliver meaningful outcomes for the American people. We have done that and much more. In fact, under our leadership this congress, the People’s House has been the most driven, productive, and successful since 1949, and the numbers confirm this. And here’s an important takeaway: we delivered results WITHOUT increasing the size and scope of the federal government. We have made commitments, and we have held true to them in service to you.

Let’s turn to the numbers courtesy of the House Republican Conference. This Congress, our unified Republican majority in the People’s House:

  • Passed nearly 900 pieces of legislation, the second most in U.S. history.
  • Delivered $4.6 TRILLION in tax cuts to the American people, the most in U.S. history.
  • We slashed federal spending by $1.1 TRILLION while taxing a hatchet to overregulation.
  • We overturned 22 separate Biden-era regulations through the Congressional Review Act – the most ever.

Our Republican majority has continued to change government for the better so that it can serve the American people the way it should. We never considered – even for a moment – expanding government as the solution, because we know all too well that when the size and scope of government increases, individual liberty and freedom among the American people decreases. Our work in service to you is not over – we are still delivering historic results that the American people are benefitting from every day. We have already laid a solid foundation of success that we will continue to build upon. You can count on that.

Important News

This Friday at 2:00 PM, the United States Postal Service is holding a virtual community meeting to discuss the closure of the Fleetwood Post Office in Ashe County. For several years, my staff and I have been working to raise the concerns brought to us by customers of the Fleetwood Post Office to the USPS personnel. Our efforts to solve the issue ramped up after Helene.  They ramped up even further after September 2, 2026, as a result of this recent development related to the Post Office. I remain engaged with senior USPS officials on the matter and encourage you to ensure that your voice is heard by the USPS decisionmakers.

Here is the virtual meeting information provided by the USPS:

A Welcome Development

Recently, President Trump issued an Executive Order to support American meat producers’ ability to butcher, process, package, and sell their meat products across state lines while maintaining the highest standards of food safety. This is a welcome development indeed, and one that provides the support that American producers deserve. What’s more, the Trump Administration is working to strengthen the food supply chain, encourage fair competition, and expand domestic market access for America’s farmers and ranchers. I applaud President Trump for his continued efforts to support these hardworking men and women who are the backbone of America’s economy and food supply.
