Hey John,

Something happened this week that has not happened in Idaho's First District in a very long time.

Our local firefighters endorsed us. Our dedicated teachers endorsed us. Our skilled tradespeople endorsed us. The people who run into burning buildings, who teach our kids in Sandpoint, Lewiston, and Wallace, and who build the roads, hospitals, and homes in this district looked at this race and decided: Kaylee Peterson.

They did not do it because it was easy. They did it because they know that people who work in Idaho should be able to afford to live in Idaho. They know what two more years of Russ Fulcher means for working people: tax breaks for billionaires and giant corporations, while cutting the funding that keeps our rural community hospitals open and taking healthcare away from working families, keeping wages stagnant while and rent, groceries, gas, and healthcare bills keep climbing. They know I will stand up for what actually matters to Idaho families: fair pay, safe workplaces, the freedom to organize, and protecting the Social Security and Medicare people have spent a lifetime earning.

Most voters were not in those union halls. For them, this campaign is a mail piece on the kitchen counter, an ad between videos, or a knock on the door. That is how they will learn that the firefighters, the teachers, and the trades are with us and why.

We do not take corporate PAC money. Russ Fulcher can pick up the phone and call the industry PACs that have bankrolled him for eight years. He answers to them, not to you.

Because I refuse their checks, we don't have a corporate war chest to fall back on. What we have is working people, and this list of supporters. That is the whole movement, and it is enough if you are a part of it.

Before absentee ballots drop, can you chip in? Every donation is a signal that shows every voter in this district who is standing with us, how many of us are standing together, and what we are fighting for: keeping our rural hospitals open, making starter homes and rent affordable for working families, and protecting Social Security.

This race comes down to thousands of votes, not hundreds of thousands. The working people in this state just put thousands of votes in play. Let's go get the rest.
