World Suicide Prevention Day
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day but, at CALM, every day is a chance to prevent another suicide. In the 171 days since Lockdown began we have prevented 240 suicides and - no matter what - we’ll continue to be there for whoever needs us.
But we need everyone to join us in our movement against suicide. We’re in this together. And we’ll do this together. Now, today and tomorrow - united against suicide.

Lost Hours Walk
In October 2019 1,000 people took to the streets of London to deal with their grief differently and defiantly. CALM's Lost Hours Walk is back and this year, you can join in from wherever you are in the country. We want to reach every corner of the nation while remembering our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, partners, and friends. So this October, walk against struggling in silence, against being alone, against living miserably. Walk Against Suicide.
|
|
Walk 3, 13 or 26 miles wherever you are in the country this October, and help fund CALM’s life-saving services when they’re needed most.

Introducing our new ambassador... Rosie Jones
Comedian and writer Rosie Jones brought us the likes of The Last Leg and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and has been making us LOL with her stand up shows for years.
So we’re thrilled she’s agreed to be our latest ambassador. We marked the occasion by chatting to her about her new travel show, the mental health impact of having a disability, and what she does when she’s feeling a bit low (spoiler: it involves jigsaws and lasagne).

Tour De Test: Your best ride
This year we can’t be there together for the Tour De Test Valley. So on 19 September we're asking you to grab your bike & take on your favourite ride, wherever you are. For ourselves, for the ones we miss & to help save lives… let’s ride.

Jack Rooke has a book
Comedian and CALM Ambassador, Jack Rooke, has published his very first book. It's called Cheer the F**k Up', it's a “comedic memoir meets advice guide” and it's brilliant. We chatted to him about his inspiration, how he wants to “use humour to make people laugh & knock down the awkward barrier of having those conversations” and we even got a cheeky exclusive!
