Editor’s Note: Quantum computing stocks are soaring 187%, 413% and even 1,332%. Now a new quantum security company is preparing to open a final Pre-IPO financing – before going public on Nasdaq or the NYSE. | Go here asap to claim your Pre-IPO shares. | Anthropic just revealed the real cost of the AI boom. | The maker of Claude has committed up to $517 billion for computing power. Nearly all of it was signed in the last 11 months. | As recently as December, Anthropic planned to spend $180 billion on compute through 2029. | These new deals highlight the rapidly growing demand for Claude. And Anthropic responding by ramping up compute capacity to meet the growing demand. | | Are you ready to buy the next big IPO – right before it starts trading? Go here to get started. | The numbers behind the spree are staggering. | Before last October, Anthropic reportedly had 1 to 2 gigawatts of computing capacity lined up. Since then, it has signed deals for at least 14.8 gigawatts more. One gigawatt is enough electricity to power a city the size of San Francisco. | Amazon and Google remain the biggest suppliers — about 11 gigawatts and more than $300 billion over the next decade. | But Anthropic has also been poaching from its rival's camp. In November, it committed $30 billion to rent Microsoft Azure servers. Microsoft is OpenAI's longtime backer. | Then there's the SpaceX deal. Anthropic is paying Elon Musk's company $1.25 billion a month through May 2029 to rent AI servers at the Colossus data center — up to $45 billion total. | And just last month, Anthropic signed $80 billion in cloud contracts with two startups: Lambda and Nscale. Nscale happens to be in this fall's IPO pipeline, targeting a roughly $3 billion raise. | Why the rush? It’s because growing demand caught the company off guard. | When I covered Anthropic's IPO filing in July, its revenue was running at about $47 billion annualized. Bloomberg now reports that figure has passed $65 billion — ahead of OpenAI's reported $40 billion. At the end of last year, Anthropic was at $9 billion. | Now for the fine print. | The $517 billion figure is an estimate of multi-year commitments — rentals, chips, and data center leases — some stretching a decade out. Contracts can unwind. The SpaceX deal, for example, reportedly lets either side cancel with 90 days' notice. | And the commitments dwarf current revenue many times over. If Claude's growth slows, unused capacity becomes a margin problem. | That's exactly why this matters now. Anthropic filed confidentially for its IPO on June 1. The public S-1 could land within the coming days, with a roadshow to follow and a listing expected in late September or early October. | Are quantum computing stocks “the next Nvidia?” Several stocks have already delivered triple-digit gains. | Here’s a link for details on the next big quantum Pre-IPO. | Ian Wyatt Editor, IPO Watch |
