We're the new official charity of Sober October

Sober October, which is owned and delivered by global fundraising platform Ezy Raise, is for the first time partnering with Alcohol Change UK, marking a new chapter for one of the UK’s best-known fundraising challenges, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Commenting on the announcement, Danielle Houliston, Executive Director of Income and Engagement at Alcohol Change UK, said: “For over a decade, Sober October has shown what can happen when thousands of people take on a challenge together and turn their personal commitment into something bigger. We’re incredibly proud to become its new charity partner and work with the team at Ezy Raise to build on the fantastic fundraising legacy.”

Younger generations are drinking less, new data reveals

The Independent reports on new data from Our Future Health, based on around 1.7 million participants, which suggests that younger generations are drinking less alcohol and less often than any other age group. Commenting on the difference in drinking habits across age groups, Dr Richard Piper, Chief Executive of Alcohol Change UK, said: “This is further encouraging evidence that cultural shifts around alcohol are possible, with younger generations drinking less often and at lower levels than those older than them.”
