National has been caught lying - but it hasn’t stopped them spending big.

Yesterday, New Zealand’s advertising watchdog ruled National had been misleading people about tax.

National promised to fix the cost of living. Three years later, prices are up and people are worse off. They don’t want you thinking about that, so they’re trying to scare people with lies about Labour. They spent almost $650,000 on ads in July alone, many of them repeating the lies.

This is what desperate governments do. They use fear and lies to distract from their failures. But here’s the reality, : lies work when they go unanswered. We can’t let National get away with it.
