Kids and educators alike are back to school, John, and I can’t help but be reminded about headlines like these:

MAGA Republicans aren’t just talking about dismantling public education nationwide — they’re doing it.

I know firsthand how powerful quality public education can be. I had teachers who believed in me and a public education that helped set me up for success.

I want my neighbors' kids to have all the chances a good education afforded me, I want them to have access to the special ed support my sister relied on, I want them to have paraeducators like my mom, I want them to have guidance counselors like my friend Brandi, and teachers and coaches who spark their interest in the world around them.

That’s why I’ve spent my career fighting to make sure every student has access to a quality education — no matter their ZIP code or family background.

While Republicans hold the reins of Congress, they’ll keep trying to undermine our public schools (because, let’s face it, they want it to fail so they can privatize it and make rich people richer and poor people poorer). But we’ve got a real shot at taking back the House and putting quality education for all back on the table.

I know I’m in a good place to win my race here in WA-06 — but we have to win in swing districts across the country, too. Can you help me raise money for the purple races that will decide control of the House, from Arizona to Pennsylvania?
