We pulled off a massive upset after being outspent 16 to 1, and we won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. I am so excited to keep spreading the word about our people-powered movement. I wish I could tell you the story ends there, with a celebration and nothing else. But since our victory, the racist threats and harassment I've faced have only gotten worse. This isn't new to me. I've been called names. I've been threatened and attacked for refusing to stay quiet. Ron DeSantis even had me arrested for standing up against illegal, discriminatory voting maps. But what's happening now is different. Messages like the ones I've been receiving lately, racist attacks and direct threats against my family, are showing up regularly. Not occasionally. Regularly. I want to be completely honest with you about why I'm sharing this. I will not be intimidated. I will not stop fighting for the people of this state. That has never been in question, and it never will be. But I also have a responsibility to take these threats seriously, for my own safety and for the safety of my family. We urgently need to increase security for me, for them, and for this campaign as we head into the general election. This isn't a cost I expected to be writing to you about. It's not glamorous, and it's not what any campaign wants to spend resources on. But it's necessary, and I refuse to let anyone's threats slow this campaign down or push us out of this fight. Can you help us fund the security we need to keep campaigning safely? DONATE I got into this race to fight for working Florida families, not to back down from anyone trying to scare me out of it. With your help, I won't. In Solidarity, Angie Nixon     DONATE     Angie For Florida | 1100 Kings Rd | Jacksonville, FL 32203-9500 US Unsubscribe | Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice
