Hi there,
Last night's election was the final primary for Swing Left target races.
Here’s a breakdown of what happened in New Hampshire:

Senate
Following Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s retirement, Democrats are
fighting to keep this critical battleground seat blue.
In the Democratic Primary, Chris Pappas won the nomination. As a small
business owner and the current representative for New Hampshire’s 1st
Congressional District, Pappas has built a strong reputation of fighting
for working people and delivering results. Currently representing a
battleground district, he also has experience winning close races, which
will be critical this November.
In the general election, Pappas will be facing John E. Sununu, a
Republican who was first elected to represent New Hampshire nearly 30
years ago. While in Washington, he has consistently put the interests of
Wall Street, Big Oil, and Big Pharma ahead of working families. As a
former Senator, Sununu has won statewide races in New Hampshire before, so
it’s critical that we leave nothing on the table as we work to defeat him
and elect Chris Pappas this November.
Democrats have a real shot at flipping the Senate this year, but it’s
going to require holding every seat they currently have—including here in
New Hampshire.
That’s why the Swing Left community will be doing everything we can to
help Chris win, including through Ground Truth, our innovative,
volunteer-led deep canvassing program that aims to reach and turn out
voters across the state.

State Legislature
Last night’s primary also produced Democratic nominees for state
legislative races—and while we’re not targeting any specific downballot
seats, we will be working to flip the State House and break the Republican
supermajority in the State Senate by fundraising for the New Hampshire
House and Senate Caucuses.
New Hampshire’s legislature is the largest in the country, and control of
the State House often follows national trends. Democrats last won a
majority in the State House in the 2018 blue wave, and are positioned to
do so again in this year’s midterms.
In the State Senate, Republicans currently control 16 of the 24 seats—but
Democrats have a real opportunity to pick up seats and break the GOP
supermajority in the chamber.
By breaking the supermajority in the State Senate and flipping the State
House, we can break the GOP trifecta in New Hampshire and ensure Democrats
have the power to stop Republican bills cracking down on voting rights in
one of the nation’s most pivotal presidential and Senate swing states.

In both the Senate and House legislative races, winning in New Hampshire
will not be easy. This state regularly elects officials from both parties,
with a Republican currently holding the governor’s office.
We expect these races to be close. Support from the Swing Left community
has the potential to make a powerful difference for Democrats this
