A lot has happened to women and girls over the last month, and we wanted to send you a quick recap of where your support is going:

• In Colombia, the worst earthquake in a decade struck one of the country's most remote, under-resourced regions. The quake came just weeks after Venezuela's own twin earthquake emergency, meaning emergency responders in the region were already stretched thin.

• In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a rare strain of the Ebola virus with no known vaccine has exploded: 6,000+ cases confirmed, and half of everyone infected has died. Women and girls—who make up the majority of caregivers for the sick—are paying the highest price. 

• And in Nepal, floods have swept away homes, families, and entire communities. UNFPA teams are on the ground, but another disaster could strike at any moment as ice in the surrounding mountains continues to melt during the hot summer months.
