Late last week, the Missouri Supreme Court struck down MAGA’s gerrymandered map and ordered that the illegal map must NOT be used for the November midterm election. 

MO Republicans appealed to the ultra-conservative US Supreme Court, hoping for favorable treatment for one of Trump’s signature election rigging moves. 

Instead, they were briskly shown the door: Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who handles emergency matters from Missouri’s judicial circuit, denied their petition with a one-sentence order upholding the MO Supreme Court’s ruling:

But what happened next is nothing short of a coup that threatens the integrity of the midterm election for the entire state of Missouri:

Seeing an opening from yet another dueling ruling from a federal court that ordered the gerrymandered map to be used, MAGA extremist and election denier Sec. of State Denny Hoskins openly defied the state high court’s order to use the old map for the November election.

Hoskins is now being summoned back to the MO Supreme Court to defend his actions in a contempt of court inquiry.

A U.S. House seat hangs in the balance, but much more than that is at stake. This gambit by SoS Hoskins reveals the lengths MAGA is willing to go when an election result is close, or when courts issue conflicting rulings that require more litigation: they will do whatever it takes to grab power for themselves and defy anyone to stop them. 

We have to lay the groundwork to win by margins so big and irrefutable that MAGA won’t be able to steal, rig, or cheat their way back to power. 

We have to keep fighting to make this November's blue wave too big to rig.
