Center for Congregational Excellence Announces Staffing Change
The Center for Congregational Excellence announced that Rev. Geoff Posegate’s last day will be Wednesday, Sept. 23. Posegate retired from full-time ministry in 2019 and immediately jumped into the congregational development waters to help coach and lead Missouri local churches to greater vitality. After a year of part-time ministry with the Conference, he has decided to embrace retirement in a full-time capacity. In his role, Geoff worked closely with the rollout of Multiplying Kingdom Impact ( [link removed] MKI), a program designed to create movements of disciples who make disciples who create new places for new people that multiply Christ’s Kingdom across their regions and the world. He also worked on [link removed] coaching recruitment and development for clergy and lay leaders. His 40-plus years of local church ministry was invaluable to the work, and the Conference is grateful to learn from his wisdom and experience. Rev. Roger Ross, Melanie Smollen and Tammy Calcote will be in conversation in the coming weeks about how to realign workload and re-evaluate staffing needs moving forward.

In the midst of the pandemic, healthcare systems have been stretched globally. Systems have had to balance emergency needs with existing care. In Mozambique, these systems were already stretched. For the remainder of 2020, the focus of the Mozambique Initiative is health. The following link has a downloadable appeals package, which includes: printable envelopes, bulletin inserts and worship graphics that you can use to support the mobile health clinics.
