Hi folks, it's Team Amy Acton here.

By now, you've probably seen that this past weekend, a man in possession of two guns and a taser charged towards Amy, barreling through a crowd of Ohioans at her hometown fair. The entire team is so grateful to the law enforcement officers whose swift action ensured no one was critically injured. 

If you’ve been with the campaign for a while, you know that Amy’s message of common humanity and ending the hate that divides us is a critical part of her speech. In fact, she was talking about exactly that when the frightening incident occurred. 

Amy is running for governor because she refuses to look the other way while Ohioans struggle. She’s seen it firsthand – the people of this state are ready for change. They're tired of the hate, chaos, and vitriol that career politicians are using to pit us against each other.

What happened this weekend was dangerous. And it was fueled by the senseless hatred that Amy has spent her entire campaign speaking out against. It was fueled by the malicious lies that Vivek Ramaswamy and his allies and attack dogs have spent months, and tens of millions of dollars, baselessly pushing. 

The words our leaders use matter. Amy has always believed that what unites us is more powerful than what divides us, team. That's why she’s vowed to fight for ALL Ohioans – regardless of who you vote for, where you live, or what you believe. That’s why she has vowed to work with anyone to solve problems instead of making them. She will never normalize this kind of behavior in Ohio. 

But today, she needs your help, folks. 

Right now, people across the nation are watching Ohio, and we need to prove to them that we will never back down.
