One year ago today, I announced my re-election campaign for governor of
Maryland.

I’ve been blown away by the support over the last year. This campaign is
fueled by grassroots power – and it’s only growing stronger as we approach
Election Day.

When I first launched my campaign for Governor, I had never run for
political office. I was an Army Combat Veteran running a poverty-fighting
nonprofit.

So I traveled the state, listening to your stories, and sharing mine. And
that’s how we won.

We came into office with bold ideas and a new sense of urgency. We cut
unemployment, delivered tax relief for veterans and the middle class, and
refused to tolerate violent crime.

But while we stand up for Maryland, Trump and MAGA Republicans are bending
over backwards for billionaires and big corporations while working class
families foot the bill.

That’s why we must win this re-election fight. The stakes couldn’t be
higher.
