While I’ve never claimed to know exactly what would crash the market, I
subscribe to Buffett’s adage that “a pin lies in wait for every bubble,” and
for months now, there have been many pins lying in wait: Higher-for-longer

bankruptcies rising, geopolitical tensions, the looming threats of tariffs…

My name is Porter Stansberry.
And I’ve sounded the alarm for months now…
I’ve consistently warned that equities, especially those of the big tech
companies, are grossly overvalued, saying:
“Unless you know for certain that you can hold your investments, without
fail, for the next decade at least, it’s time to sell… many of today’s top tech
stocks will develop incredible products and grow revenue and profits
substantially into the future.
But… the cheapest of these high-quality businesses is trading at 25 years’
worth of profits.
Most of this success has already been ‘priced in.’
I’m not saying stocks are going to crash tomorrow. But I think it’s very
foolish to believe that stocks, on average, are likely to do well over the next
decade.”
While I’ve never claimed to know exactly what would crash the market, I
subscribe to Buffett’s adage that“a pin lies in wait for every bubble,” and for
months now, there have been many pins lying in wait:
Higher-for-longer interest rates, far stickier than expected inflation,
weakening consumers, bankruptcies rising, geopolitical tensions, the looming
threats of tariffs…
The list goes on.
But a potential new pin has blindsided Wall Street.
As the news of DeepSeek’s new AI model dropped, the futures of almost every
major chip manufacturer and AI stock saw a sharp sell-off:
* Arm, $ARM: -5.5%
* Nvidia, $NVDA: -5.3%
* Broadcom, $AVGO: -4.9%
* Super Micro, $SMCI: -4.6%
* Taiwan Semi, $TSM: -4.5%
* Micron, $MU: -4.3%
* Qualcomm, $QCOM: -2.8%
* AMD, $AMD: -2.5%
* Intel, $INTC: -2.0% Markets are now on track to wipe out over $1 trillion
in value as investors are forced to recalibrate their assumptions around
artificial intelligence.
If you missed the story, DeepSeek is a Chinese startup that competes directly
with OpenAI (ChatCPT) and other American AI companies.
And at a time when the U.S. government and Wall Street is dumping hundreds of
billions into AI development… DeepSeek shatteredall their assumptions around
the costs, resources, and requirements needed to train these models.
You see, while OpenAI has raised more than $17.9 billion in funding since
inception… DeepSeek built their model for just $10 million… with a team of just
200… and with chips that are far less advanced than those used by U.S. firms.
This wasn’t meant to be possible…
It’s like the guy who brought a knife to a gun fight actually winning.
And Wall Street is spooked because as Fred Hickey, the editor of The
High-Tech Strategist warns:
“DeepSeek has the potential to disrupt current leaders in the Generative
AI/search space.
Obsolescence is a regular occurrence in the tech sector – the list of faded
but once seemingly omnipotent tech star companies is long.
During tech bubbles, investors tend to forget about the risks and grossly
overpay for the stocks – as they have today. Hard lessons typically follow.”
While it’s far too early to tell what the long-term impact of DeepSeek will
be on the artificial intelligence market and valuations of U.S. tech stocks,
investors are running around like headless chickens this morning.
At Porter & Co., we’re not worried though.
Not only did we recently exit a number of our tech and AI recommendations
(for a significant profit) due to our concerns around valuations… but we’ve
also identified a far bigger story
<[link removed]>
.
It’s the story that underpins all the technological advancements we’ve seen
over the last several years… yet you’ve likely never heard of it before.
That’s because everyone has been too distracted by the mania around AI, the
blockchain, and Bitcoin to connect the dots on what’sreally happening.
Here’s what you need to know though: behind all of the hype of AI, ChatGPT,
and large language models… there is a far more important story unfolding, one
that could make early investors a fortune.
However, outside of the labs in the world’s most prestigious universities and
tech companies, almost nobody knows what’s going on.
But those who do, those who can see the writing on the wall, they’re investing
billions of dollars, as they know this could potentially transform everything.
The story revolves around a new technology
<[link removed]>
that is the cornerstone all our recent innovations have been built on… and
that the future could be built upon too.
Every technological advancement we have seen over the last several years
relies on this new cornerstone technology:
OpenAI’s ChatGPT… Tesla’s self-driving cars… Boston Dynamics robots…
Zuckerberg’s Metaverse… AstraZeneca’s accelerated drug discovery… without this
technology, none of this would have been possible.
But all of this is only a taste of what’s coming… Healthcare, biotech,
automotive, AI, manufacturing, cybersecurity, banking, construction, and
finance… almost every sector of the economy is adopting this technology.
And I want to show you how to navigate this new era
<[link removed]>
.
Because while the future of this new technology is written in stone… the road
ahead is bumpy and paved with hazards.
And in a mirror of every big tech revolution… whether it was the railroads in
the 1800s or the dot-com boom in the late 90s…although investing in the
underlying trend was theright thing to do…
If you owned the wrong companies – or bought the right companies at the wrong
time – you would have been wiped out.
That’s why, in my new presentation, I’ll name the companies you need to know
about – both the ones to own and the ones to avoid.
And no, you won’t have to become one of my customers to take advantage of
this.I’ll lay it all out for you right here.
<[link removed]>
So whether you are enriched or impoverished during this new era, it all comes
down to what you do today.
I hope you take the time to watch my exposé.
It could be the most important financial decision you make.

Twelve Countries Just Banned Trade With Israeli West Bank Settlements. The UK
Called It "Ethnic Cleansing." Israel Closed the British Consulate.
Britain's Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband — the son of Jewish immigrants —
stood in Parliament and used the words "ethnic cleansing" to describe settler
violence in the West Bank. Canada and France followed. Israel's response was
immediate and severe.
FROM THE HOUSE OF COMMONS “The British government agrees that there is
ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in areas of the West Bank — perpetrated by
settler terrorists.” ED MILIBAND
In one of the most significant diplomatic realignments in the Israel-Western
alliance since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks and the subsequent Gaza war,
twelve nations — led by the United Kingdom, France, and Canada — announced
coordinated bans on trade in goods and some services from illegal Israeli
settlements in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday. British Foreign Secretary Ed
Miliband delivered the announcement on the floor of the House of Commons,
describing the move as "a reset" in UK-Israel relations and using language that
was, by diplomatic standards, extraordinarily direct. "The British government
agrees that there is ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in areas of the West Bank
— perpetrated by settler terrorists," Miliband said, "and all too often the
Israeli government turns a blind eye to this." Miliband noted he was making the
statement "as a proud Jew" — a framing designed to insulate the statement from
antisemitism charges while placing his personal Jewish identity behind the
diplomatic condemnation. The twelve nations' joint statement — signed by
Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Spain, Sweden, and the UK — confirmed their collective intention to introduce
national or support European restrictions on trade in goods with settlements
that are illegal under international law.
COORDINATED MOVE 12 nations Canada · Denmark · Finland · France · Iceland
· Ireland · Norway · Poland · Portugal · Spain · Sweden · United Kingdom
► THE RESPONSE
Israel's response was immediate and severe. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
vowed to continue establishing settlements regardless of international
pressure, restating his government's position on the E1 plan — a controversial
1,200-unit settlement construction project near East Jerusalem that had been
frozen for decades before Israel approved it last year and that several Western
governments had explicitly cited as a "diplomatic red line." More concretely,
Israel ordered the closure of Britain's consulate in East Jerusalem — the
diplomatic mission that serves Palestinians in the occupied West Bank — a
retaliatory measure that Britain described as an escalation and that Israeli
officials framed as an appropriate response to what Foreign Minister Gideon
Sa'ar characterized as measures that "stoke antisemitism against British Jews."
Sa'ar's language — echoed by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who
characterized the UK ban as "discrimination against the Jewish people" —
reflects the Israeli and American right's consistent framing of settlement
trade restrictions as antisemitic rather than geopolitical.
ISRAEL Ordered the closure of Britain's consulate in East Jerusalem. UNITED
STATES Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. would not follow the UK
move.
“Obviously, we're not going to do what the UK did.” MARCO RUBIO
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, departing on a trip to Colombia, Ecuador, and
Peru, was direct and brief: "Obviously, we're not going to do what the UK did.
We don't want to see anything destabilizing going on right now in the West Bank
with so much going on in the region." The United States and Israel condemned
the 12-nation move jointly, and Florida Congressman Randy Fine signaled
potential state-level retaliation against British trade — a consequence of
Huckabee's suggestion that individual American states could act. The practical
trade impact of the UK ban is assessed as limited: the annual UK-Israel
bilateral trade of approximately £6 billion ($8.12 billion) involves relatively
small volumes of goods from West Bank settlements specifically, and the legal
mechanism for differentiating settlement goods from Israeli goods — both carry
the same "Made in Israel" labeling — is administratively complex enough that
full implementation will take months to operationalize.
UK–ISRAEL TRADE £6B annually PRACTICAL VS. DIPLOMATIC IMPACT The article
assesses the immediate settlement-trade impact as limited, while describing the
diplomatic significance as substantially larger.
The diplomatic significance of the announcement is far larger than its
immediate trade impact. The United Kingdom, France, and Canada are G7 nations.
Their coordinated action — joined by nine other European and Nordic governments
— represents the broadest alignment of Western governments against Israeli
settlement policy in the conflict's post-October 7 history, and it arrives at a
moment when the Gaza war has officially ended under the October 2025 peace deal
but the West Bank violence has continued and intensified. More than 1,040
Palestinians were injured in settler incidents in 2026 alone, with 79 killed
including 19 children, according to the UN monitoring figures cited in the
joint statement's context. The E1 settlement plan's approval — which would
create a continuous bloc of Jewish settlements from East Jerusalem into the
West Bank, widely described as making a Palestinian state geographically
impossible — was the specific trigger that moved these governments from verbal
condemnation to formal trade restrictions.
1,040+ injured 79 killed 19 children
03 KEYNOTES Three developments shaping the shift
01 The twelve-nation coordinated announcement represents the largest
multilateral diplomatic action taken against Israeli settlement policy since
the 2016 UN Security Council Resolution 2334, and its framing in the language
of "ethnic cleansing" by a G7 foreign minister — who is himself Jewish — is the
most severe formal diplomatic characterization of Israeli conduct in the West
Bank used by a Western government since the current conflict cycle began.
02 Israel's closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem — the
diplomatic mission serving Palestinians in the occupied West Bank — is a
retaliatory measure with direct humanitarian consequences: the consulate
processes visa applications, provides consular services, and serves as the
primary point of contact between the British government and the Palestinian
population it is committed to supporting, and its closure removes that service
at the exact moment when British policy has formally aligned against the
settlement expansion that is driving the West Bank's humanitarian deterioration.
03 Secretary of State Rubio's explicit refusal to join the trade bans —
delivered while departing for Latin America — establishes the sharpest public
divergence between the United States and its three major NATO allies (UK,
France, Canada) on Israel-Palestine policy since the current administration
took office, and it arrives simultaneously with the Canada trade war that has
activated retaliatory tariffs against the United States, creating a foreign
policy context in which the US is simultaneously in trade conflict with Canada
and in Israel-policy conflict with the UK, France, and Canada simultaneously.
