Make Literacy Month a life-changing celebration for students waiting for a tutor.

Give back to your community! Help adults gain the English language, reading, writing or math skills to reach their career goals. Literacy Pittsburgh ([link removed]-) currently has 275 adult learners on its waiting list. Will you give these men and women a reason to celebrate Literacy Month?

Volunteering with Literacy Pittsburgh ([link removed]) gives you the chance to see firsthand the impact of your actions. You don't need to have teaching experience, and you don't need to speak a foreign language. Your enthusiasm, patience and compassion are far more important.

Tutors are needed in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Westmoreland and Washington counties.
