John,
This week, we kickoff our 50 day countdown until Election Day.
The stakes have never been higher to kick out this lying, sexist, white nationalist from the White House. Trump knows we’ve been preparing for this moment for years — it’s why he’s been ruthless in his attempts to sabotage the election, shut down the post office, and spread misinformation about voting by mail.
This is how we’re fighting back. Tomorrow is Request Your Ballot Day, a national day of action to raise awareness and educate Americans around their options to vote by mail and encourage voters to make a plan to cast their ballot early.
Once your application is approved, your ballot will be mailed to you and you can fill it out from home. When your ballot arrives, read the directions carefully and fill it out as soon as you can. You can turn in your ballot by dropping it in the mailbox, or depending on the options in your state, you may return it at a designated drop box, or in person at your local elections office. |
Voters should not have to choose between their health and their vote in the middle of a global pandemic. Voting by mail is a safe and convenient way to vote that is available in every state.
Trump doesn’t want us to know that. That’s why we’re partnering with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote initiative for Request your Ballot Day to spread the word.
Trump is clearly intent on doing whatever it takes to cling onto power — even if that means spreading false information about the election and our ability to vote.
He is gaslighting us by pretending to care about people staying safe and healthy while voting. No surprise coming from the man who tried to prevent vote by mail, saying it leads to fraud, while he and his cronies cast their ballots from the privacy of their mansions.
Whether voting by mail or early in person, making a plan to vote early is one of the best things voters can do to fight voter suppression, stay safe, and avoid lines at polling places on Election Day.
Let’s finish what we started, together.
Women’s March
P.S. - Stay tuned for ways you can help us register more women voters to vote by mail in key states.
