In taped interviews with renowned journalist Bob Woodward, President Trump admitted in February that he knew just how deadly the coronavirus was, but decided to downplay its seriousness to the American public anyway.

In short: Trump knew, did nothing, and Americans died.

The President of the United States is on tape saying he knew that COVID-19 was airborne, that it was deadlier than the flu, and that it threatens not only the elderly but also young people.

And the smoking gun: “I wanted to play it down, I still like playing it down.”

Almost 200,000 Americans are now dead because of this president’s dereliction of duty. He knew the gravity of the situation, he knew tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands could die, and he downplayed it because he thought it might be bad for his chances at winning re-election.
