Trump promised to lower prescription drug prices. Here’s what’s actually happening.
Prescription drug prices have been surging under this administration, as the president oversaw thousands of price hikes last year -- a trend that only continued in 2020.
In response to an outcry from millions of desperate Americans, Trump signed an executive order in July he claimed was designed to lower drug prices -- but has since kept the order a secret, refusing to release it to the public.
Since then, there’s been no significant change in drug prices -- even though the president has been clapping himself on the back for saving the American people.
