Hi John, I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend (and Go Irish!).

My team and I spent the day in Elkhart at the Labor Day parade. It was a great time — and as a proud, card-carrying union member myself, Labor Day means a lot to me. I’m so proud of the hard-fought battles my fellow union members have won over the years: weekends, safer workplaces, better wages and benefits, and a real voice on the job.

That's exactly why I'm fighting back against unchecked AI data center expansion in our district. When Big Tech comes in and builds massive data centers here, any jobs created should be good-paying union jobs, not the cheapest labor a corporation can find. I'll require union labor for any data center construction in our district, make Big Tech pay its own way instead of shifting costs onto Hoosier families, and put real community input back into decisions that are often made completely behind closed doors and locked behind secretive NDAs.

Meanwhile, grocery bills, mortgage payments, and childcare costs keep rising, while Rudy Yakym and Donald Trump are cutting healthcare benefits to fund tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy. But these two fights are one and the same: Washington working for corporations instead of everyday people.

Election Day is only eight weeks away. I aim to unseat Rudy Yakym, one of Donald Trump’s most reliable “YES” votes, and focus on serving Hoosiers, not party leaders or corporate donors.
