Our goal is to empower teachers, parents, and other community members to learn about what is going on, connect with each other, and to organize to advocate for strong public schools that serve all students well.
With the new school year underway and COVID-19 cases surge nation-wide, Donald Trump and Betsy DeVos have already proposed that schools should open fully this fall, ignoring the dire warnings of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This year, our Public School Shakedown Fellows have continued to lead this fight by lending their prominent voices and first-hand experiences to our weekly coverage of these critical issues.
Please contribute today! This movement to protect our public schools needs help in shining a light on their fight! We can only continue to do this crucial work with your help!
